Gouaches from Schaal
I have the huge honnor to be ambassador for the paint brand Schaal, handmade in France.
It’s, by far, the best paint i ever used.
So creamy, so pigmented, it’s really another experience to paint with such good products.
You can find all the colors, in gouaches, and even more in oils, here :

Homemade Pochade Boxes
Here’s the V3 of my homemade pochade box
I started with 2 wood planks for the V1, then made a bigger box with a drawer for V2, to this one, wich i use all the time now.
There are 2 palettes “drawers”, the top one with watercolor pans included, and the one below witjust a big mixing area for my gouaches. Underneath is a space to keep my paint tubes and my brushes.
A leather handle, closure, and a tripod mount finish the box.

The smallest one : Palmchade Box
And now, for Annecy 2026, i made a small one, that fits in my bag.
It’s a palm pochade (or a palmchade as i like to call it).
It’s built around a wet palette that has 16 pans and a mixing area.
I added a small “pocket” on top, tu put a few papers or paintings, and i cut 2 of my brushes so it fits nicelly.
A bit of extra space to bring my white gouache tube, and it’s a pleasure to paint plein air!

Old ones
Here was the V2 of my homemade pochade box
It’s a wooden box, 34x23x7cm, so a biiiig one.
You can paint flat, on a closed box, or up if you let the box opened.
A drawer came out by the right side, to put my palette and brushes.
A little wooden hook could come out from the front, for the water cup.
And as always, a tripod mount.
